It’s a Doggy Dog World (Commission Piece)

This is a custom piece I created for a family.  They are huge dog lovers and their two basenjis are represented in the piece as well as some of the dogs they grew up with.  We also wanted to represent our great state of MN some how so I decided to put our 4 seasons in each corner.  Limited Edition Canvas Prints and Giclee Prints are available for this piece.

St. Paul Winter Carnival

The Winter Carnival is fast approaching.  With that I have some very exciting opportunities.  Please check my calender to the left to see everything that I will be doing.  I hope many of you can attend 1 or more of the events.  Also, make sure to watch for me on Kare11 News on Friday, February 4th at 4:00pm.

I have very exciting news. I have been commissioned to create a custom piece of art for this years St. Paul Winter Carnival. This marks their 125th anniversary and this will be a commemorative painting. The St. Paul Winter Carnival attracts 350,000 visitors a year and has a $3.5 – $5 million dollar economic impact to… the city of St. Paul and the State of Minnesota. This piece will be done in my unique style with many of the iconic figures that relate to the Winter Carnival.  Here is the final pic along with a pic of it when it was black and white.

Kicks Mural

I was recently commissioned to create my first mural.  The mural measures 5′ x 40′ and is located on the back side of Christ Lutheran Church in St. Paul.  The mural was for the Kicks Program that included about 70 kids.  The idea was to create a piece of art that the children could help paint.  I decided to put their names on the wall in graffiti style.  This was different for me as I’ve never done graffiti before.  Each kid got the opportunity to paint their own names and then it was up to my wife Kelly, my friend Sean, and myself to to all of the touch up work.  This made it a very unique project and now these kids have something to be very proud of.  The mural is located on the backside of Christ Lutheran Church is Saint Paul, right by the State Capitol.
